Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic Massage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a gentle, rhythmic massage that stimulates the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins, reduce swelling, and enhance overall health.
It works by supporting the body's natural process of removing fluid from tissues.
MLD stimulates the vital functions of the skin, tissues, and internal organs, helping to activate the parasympathetic relaxation response and ease muscle tension and pain. It serves as a preventative technique that boosts our bodies' ability to rejuvenate and resist stress.
As lymph flow increases, immune function is also boosted. Harmful substances are removed from tissues and neutralised in the lymph nodes.
It has also been shown that increased lymph flow stimulates higher production of lymphocytes, further enhancing immune function.
MLD can be used in many applications and has a significant impact on increasing lymphatic flow:
-
Post-surgery care can help significantly prevent scarring in the area and enable the body to remove unwanted fluid at the site, thereby reducing the risk of infection.
-
Pre-surgery MLD is an essential technique for softening and relaxing tissues that require surgery.
-
Oedema, sprained ankles, and other post-traumatic conditions can be effectively treated with the immediate application of RICE therapy combined with MLD treatment
-
Oedema during pregnancy
-
Lymphoedema (both primary and secondary)
-
Post dentistry

Sinusitis, hayfever and histamine response

Asthma and allergies that affect breathing
